Menstrual Disc Leak Notes

A no-diagnosis note sheet for menstrual disc leaks, leak timing, flow context, activity, backup product use, pain or pressure, cleanup, privacy, and care questions.

Use this sheet when disc leaks feel hard to explain.

It is for notes only.

It cannot tell you why leaks happen.

It does not give disc steps.

It does not give fit advice.

It does not rank products.

If you use a cup too, see the menstrual cup leak log.

If you want to compare products without choosing a winner, use the period product leak comparison sheet.

If leaks happen at night, use the overnight period leak log.

This page is educational. It is not medical advice.

First leak note

Fill this in after a leak.

Question Your note Date and time Bleeding day before period / day 1 / day 2 / day 3+ / after period Flow context light / medium / heavy / clots / not sure When the leak happened morning / day / night / after activity / not sure Activity before it happened sleep / work / school / exercise / sitting / other Backup product used pad / liner / period underwear / clothing change / none Clothes or sheets affected no / yes / not sure Pain or pressure no / yes / not sure Cramps none / mild / strong Bladder pressure no / yes / not sure Main care question

Use normal words.

"Leaked during class on day 2" is useful.

"Had pressure too" is useful too.

Disc only context

A disc note is different from a cup note.

You may care more about bathroom access, pressure, public changes, backup layers, or whether the note needs a product name.

Do not write product steps here.

Use the label or a clinician for product use questions.

Context Short note Bathroom access mattered yes / no / not sure Backup layer mattered yes / no / not sure Pressure or cramps happened too yes / no / not sure Leak happened away from home yes / no / not sure Product name matters for my question yes / no / not sure A low detail note is enough yes / no / not sure

For backup planning, use the period product backup layer planner.

For public bathroom notes, use the public bathroom period product change plan.

For reusable product privacy, use the reusable period product data privacy checklist.

Disc leak log

Use one row for each leak.

Date Time Bleeding day Flow context Leak timing Activity Backup product Pain or pressure Note before / day 1 / day 2 / day 3+ / after light / medium / heavy / clots / not sure morning / day / night / after activity sleep / work / school / exercise / sitting / other pad / liner / period underwear / clothing / none no / yes

This table is not a disc guide.

It is a timing record.

Use it to show what happened.

Flow context

Leaks may be easier to discuss with bleeding notes.

Date Bleeding day Flow note Clots Changed clothes or sheets Missed work, school, or plans light / medium / heavy / flooding / not sure no / yes / not sure no / yes no / yes

This table does not measure blood loss.

It helps you remember the day.

CDC lists several heavy bleeding signs to discuss with care.

Those signs can include night changes, large clots, and bleeding that disrupts life.

Ask a clinician what applies to you.

Backup and cleanup notes

Use this if a backup product or cleanup mattered.

You do not need brand names.

Date Backup used What leaked Cleanup needed Skin symptoms pad / liner / period underwear / clothing underwear / clothes / sheet / seat no / yes none / itch / burn / rash

For stain steps, use the period blood stain removal checklist.

For a full cleanup plan, use the period leak cleanup plan.

If skin symptoms show up, use the period product irritation log.

Pain and pressure add on

Use this if leaks came with pain, cramps, pressure, or bladder pressure.

Date Pain 0 to 10 Pressure Cramps Bladder pressure Main question : none / mild / strong none / mild / strong no / yes / not sure

Do not guess the cause.

Use the notes to ask what should be checked.

What not to use this for

Do not use this page to decide:

Whether a disc fits. Disc placement steps. Disc removal steps. Which product to buy. Which product is better. Whether bleeding is normal.

Use it to keep a clear record.

Questions to ask

Pick the questions that fit.

Does my leak timing matter? Does the bleeding day matter? Should I track clots or flooding too? Does pain or pressure change what should be checked? What symptoms should I put at the top of my message? Do you need a short summary or the full log? What product details should I leave out of an export?

For visit prep, read Floriva for gynecologist prep.

If you changed products, use the period product change visit summary.

If you also use tampons, use the tampon leak log.

One page visit summary

Fill this in before a visit or message.

Summary item Your note Main issue First leak date Bleeding day when leaks happen most Flow context Activity linked with leaks Backup products used Pain, pressure, or cramps Bladder pressure Skin symptoms Main care question

Start with what changed your day most.

You can add the timing if it helps.

Privacy note

Disc leak notes can include period dates, product names, blood, clothing, pain, and places.

Keep the shortest useful note.

You can write "backup used" without naming a product.

You can leave out details that do not help the visit.

Floriva can keep short notes on your device.

Paper works too.

Before sharing, read the period product symptom data privacy checklist.

Before saving leak photos, use the period leak photo location privacy checklist.
