Period Product Irritation Log

A no-diagnosis log for period product irritation, timing, itching, burning, rash, pain, discharge if present, medicine already used, and care questions.

Use this log when period product irritation is hard to explain.

You may notice itching, burning, rash, pain, or discharge.

You may have used pads, liners, tampons, cups, or discs.

You may have used wipes, period underwear, or a new detergent.

This log keeps the timing in one place.

It does not decide the cause.

It does not tell you what product to use.

For a wider product list, use the vulvar irritation product exposure log.

For burning, use the vulvar burning symptom notes.

This page is educational. It is not medical advice.

Plain notes help.

"Rash started after a new pad" is enough.

Do not use one note to decide the cause.

Product timing log

Use one row for each product or change.

Date Time Product or item New or usual Where it touched Symptom timing Note pad / liner / tampon / cup / disc / wipe / underwear / detergent new / usual / not sure vulva / vagina / underwear / not sure before / during / after

This is a timing log.

It is not a product safety list.

It is not a product rule.

You can use the pattern in a care visit if it helps.

Symptom checklist

Check what fits today.

Itching started. Burning started. Skin feels raw. Skin looks red. Rash showed up. Swelling showed up. Pain or soreness showed up. Discharge changed. Odor changed. Symptoms started during my period. Symptoms started after my period. I used a new pad or liner. I used a tampon. I used a cup or disc. I used a wipe. I wore period underwear. I changed detergent. I used medicine already.

This checklist does not diagnose irritation.

It helps you remember what changed.

If rash is the main issue, use the pad rash log.

If dryness is part of the story, use the dryness notes.

Medicine already used

List what you used before the visit.

Date Medicine or product Dose or amount, if known Why you used it What changed itch / burn / rash / pain / other

Do not add new medicine from this page.

Do not mix products because of this page.

Use this table to help your clinician see what happened.

Care questions

Pick the questions you want to ask.

Does this need an exam? Do I need a swab or lab test? Could this be dermatitis? Could discharge need testing? Could a product, fabric, or detergent be part of this? Does the timing matter? Does medicine already used change the next step? What symptoms mean I should call sooner? What should I track if this happens again?
