Period Product Leak Comparison Sheet

A neutral worksheet to compare period product leaks by product type, timing, activity, flow context, skin symptoms, laundry, and privacy notes.

Leaks are hard to compare from memory.

One day may involve a pad.

Another day may involve a tampon, cup, disc, or period underwear.

This sheet keeps the notes side by side.

It does not rank products.

It does not tell you what to buy.

It does not teach product steps.

It does not promise fewer leaks.

Use it to see your own pattern.

For product specific notes, use the disc leak notes, menstrual cup leak log, tampon leak log, pad leak and shift log, or period underwear leak notes.

For cleanup, use the period leak cleanup plan.

First leak note

Fill this out soon after a leak.

Use plain words.

Question Your note Date and time Bleeding day before / day 1 / day 2 / day 3+ / after / not sure Product type pad / tampon / cup / disc / liner / period underwear / other Product name needed? no / yes / not sure Flow context light / medium / heavy / clots / not sure When it happened morning / day / night / after activity / not sure Activity before it happened sleep / school / work / exercise / sitting / travel / other Leak place front / back / side / through clothes / sheets / not sure Backup used pad / liner / underwear / clothes / none Skin symptoms none / itch / burn / rash / raw / pain Laundry needed clothes / sheets / towel / none Private detail to leave out

"Leak at school on day 2" is enough.

"Used backup underwear" may be enough.

You can leave out the brand name.

Product comparison table

Use one row per leak.

This table compares notes.

It does not compare product quality.

Date Product type Bleeding day Flow context Timing Activity Leak place Backup used Skin note Laundry note pad / tampon / cup / disc / liner / underwear before / day 1 / day 2 / day 3+ / after light / medium / heavy / clots / not sure morning / day / night sleep / school / work / exercise / sitting / travel front / back / side / through / sheets pad / liner / clothes / none none / itch / burn / rash / pain clothes / sheets / none

Look for repeats.

Do leaks happen at night?

Do they happen on heavy days?

Do they happen during long sitting?

Do they happen with skin symptoms?

Write only what helps.

Pattern finder

Check what repeats.

Leaks happen on day 1. Leaks happen on day 2. Leaks happen at night. Leaks happen after long sitting. Leaks happen during school or work. Leaks happen during exercise. Leaks happen during travel. Leaks happen with heavy flow. Leaks happen with clots. Leaks happen with irritation. Leaks lead to laundry. Leaks lead to missed plans. I need a shorter note for privacy.

CDC lists changing a pad or tampon after less than 2 hours as one heavy bleeding sign.

It can also include night changes, large clots, or bleeding that changes normal plans.

If your bleeding feels heavy or hard to manage, ask a clinician what to track.

For overnight notes, use the overnight period leak log.

Irritation and comfort notes

Leaks sometimes happen near skin symptoms.

Do not guess the cause.

Just note timing.

Date Product type Skin symptom Where it was Timing Care question pad / tampon / cup / disc / liner / underwear itch / burn / rash / raw / pain / none vulva / vagina / thighs / underwear line / not sure before / during / after leak

If irritation matters, use the period product irritation log.

If you changed products and symptoms started, use the period product change visit summary.

Laundry and cleanup notes

Leaks can create work after the leak.

That detail may matter more than the product name.

Date What needed cleanup Time or place What helped What to pack next time underwear / pants / sheets / towel / chair / other home / school / work / travel / other cold rinse / spare clothes / bag / other

Use the period leak cleanup plan if cleanup is the main issue.

Keep photos out unless they are truly needed.

Photos can hold time and place data.

Before saving or sharing photos, use the leak photo privacy checklist.

Privacy check

Leak notes can include period dates, products, blood, clothes, bedding, pain, school, work, and travel.

Keep the shortest useful note.

Detail Keep it? Plain wording idea Product brand yes / no / not sure product A Exact place yes / no / not sure away from home Photo yes / no / not sure written note only Laundry item yes / no / not sure clothes Flow word yes / no / not sure heavy day Activity yes / no / not sure long sitting

Health app privacy guidance favors collecting less data.

You can use the same idea for your own notes.

If "heavy day, backup used" is enough, stop there.

For a broader check, use the period product symptom data privacy checklist.

Floriva note

Floriva can keep short notes on your device.

That can help when you want less cloud sharing.

No app can control every copy.

Screenshots, exports, backups, shared devices, and pasted text can leave the app.

Use low detail notes when low detail is enough.
