Diarrhea Before Period Tracker

A no-diagnosis tracker for diarrhea before period timing, loose stool, cramps, nausea, fever, vomiting, blood or black stool, fluids, and visit questions.

Loose stool before your period can be hard to explain later.

Use this tracker for clear notes. It is not a diagnosis. It does not prove that your cycle, food, stress, or an illness caused the diarrhea.

Call sooner

Seek prompt care if any of these fit.

Severe belly pain Belly pain that is getting worse Fever Vomiting Blood in stool Black stool Rectal bleeding Very dark pee or very little pee Dry mouth Faintness or dizziness Pregnancy or possible pregnancy Symptoms feel unsafe

Do not wait to finish this sheet if you feel very sick.

Quick start note

Fill this out first.

Question Your answer Date symptoms started Cycle day Days until period, if known Stool count today Loose or watery stool Belly pain, 0 to 10 Cramps, 0 to 10 Nausea Vomiting Fever Blood, black stool, or rectal bleeding Fluids stayed down Main question for care

Plain words are enough. "Loose stool three times before lunch" helps.

Daily diarrhea log

Use one row per day. Track before, during, and after your period.

Date Cycle day Period timing Stool count Stool type Belly pain, 0 to 10 Cramps, 0 to 10 Nausea or vomiting Fever Blood or black stool Fluids Notes : : : : before / during / after loose / watery / mixed / usual no / nausea / vomit yes / no yes / no OK / low

Do not force a cause into the notes. Write what happened.

What else was happening?

Check what fits that day.

Period is due soon. Period started today. Cramps started today. I had nausea. I vomited. I had fever. I had a sick contact. I ate something new. I drank more coffee or alcohol than usual. I took a new medicine or supplement. I felt more stress than usual. I had blood, black stool, or rectal bleeding. I felt dizzy or faint.

These notes add context. They do not prove the cause.

Pattern review

After one cycle, answer these.

Question Your notes Did loose stool start before bleeding? Did it start on period day 1? How many days did it last? Which day had the most stool trips? Which day had the worst pain? Did fever or vomiting happen? Did blood, black stool, or rectal bleeding happen? Did symptoms happen outside period timing too? What changed school, work, sleep, or plans?

Bring the pattern to care if it keeps coming back or worries you.

Questions to ask

Could this be tied to my cycle, or should we check other causes? What symptoms mean I should call the same day? Should fever, vomiting, or dehydration signs change what I do? Should blood, black stool, or rectal bleeding be checked right away? Could a stomach virus, food issue, medicine, or another cause fit? What should I track next cycle?

For a broader stool log, use the period poops tracker. If diarrhea happens during bleeding, use the period diarrhea symptom log. If gas or pressure is part of the pattern, use the period gas and bloating log.
