Constipation Before Period Tracker
A no-diagnosis constipation before period tracker for stool timing, belly pain, bloating, gas, period timing, and visit notes.
Constipation before period can be hard to explain in a short visit.
Use this sheet to write down what happened. It is not a diagnosis. It does not tell you what to take. It helps you bring clear notes.
Prompt care check
Seek prompt care if any of these fit.
Severe belly pain Belly pain is getting worse Persistent severe belly pain Blood in stool Black stool Rectal bleeding Vomiting Fever Losing weight without trying Signs of dehydration Pregnancy or possible pregnancy Faintness or dizziness Symptoms feel unsafe
If you feel very sick, seek urgent care.

Use plain words. "I did not poop for two days" is enough.
Daily stool and cycle log
Use one row per day.
Date Cycle day Days before period Poop count Stool type Strain 0 to 10 Belly pain 0 to 10 Bloat 0 to 10 Gas 0 to 10 Notes : : : : : : :
Do not use one row to name the cause. Look for the pattern.
What changed before bleeding?
Check what fits.
I pooped less often. Stool felt harder than usual. I had to strain. I felt full or blocked. Belly pain got worse. Bloating got worse. Gas got worse. Pain eased after pooping. Pain did not ease after pooping. Symptoms started before bleeding. Symptoms stayed after bleeding started. Symptoms affected school, work, sleep, or care tasks.
OWH and Mayo Clinic list constipation as a possible PMS symptom. Your notes can show timing. They do not prove why it happened.
Laxative and medicine note
Only fill this out if it applies.
Date What I took Amount written on label or prescription Time What changed Side effects
Do not use this page for dosing advice. If you need laxatives to poop, ask your healthcare team what is safe for you.
Questions to bring to care
Pick what you want to ask.
Could this pattern fit PMS, or should we check other causes? What symptoms mean I should call right away? Could constipation be linked with my belly or pelvic pain? Should pregnancy change what we check? Could my medicines or supplements affect stool? What should I write down next cycle? When should I stop waiting and seek care?
For stool changes during bleeding, use the period poops tracker. For a constipation only sheet, use the period constipation log. If loose stool is part of the pattern, use the period diarrhea symptom log.
