Bladder Pain Before Period Tracker

A no-diagnosis tracker for bladder pain, pelvic pressure, urinary urgency, frequency, pain when peeing, blood in urine, cycle timing, and care questions.

Use this tracker if bladder pain, urgency, or pee changes show up before your period.

This page is for notes only. It cannot diagnose a UTI, bladder condition, endometriosis, fibroids, pregnancy issue, or any other cause.

Overlapping urinary, pelvic, and vaginal symptoms can need testing. Discuss fever, back or side pain, nausea or vomiting, blood in urine, pregnancy concern, severe or worsening symptoms, or new intense pelvic pain with a clinician promptly.

Quick start

Fill this out first.

Question Your note Date symptoms started Cycle day, if known Days until period, if known Main bladder symptom Bladder pain, 0 to 10 Pelvic pressure none / mild / strong Need to pee often no / yes Need to pee right away no / yes Pain or burning when peeing no / yes Blood in urine no / yes / not sure Fever, back pain, or side pain no / yes Nausea or vomiting no / yes Pregnancy concern no / yes / not sure Main question for care

Write what you feel in normal words. "Pressure before my period" is useful. So is "pain eases after I pee."

Daily bladder log

Use one row per day.

Date Cycle day Period status Bladder pain 0 to 10 Pelvic pressure Urgency Frequency Pee burn Blood in urine Daily impact : : before / during / after / no bleeding none / mild / strong no / yes usual / more / a lot no / yes no / yes / not sure

Keep the notes short. "Peeing every hour" says enough.

Safety check

Do not wait on a tracker if symptoms feel urgent.

Contact a clinician promptly if you have:

Fever. Back or side pain. Nausea or vomiting. Blood in urine. Pregnancy concern. Severe symptoms. Symptoms that are getting worse. New intense pelvic pain. Trouble peeing or emptying your bladder.

If you feel unsafe waiting, seek urgent care.

Pattern notes

Use this after a few days or one cycle.

Question Your note Did pain start before bleeding? Did pain change when bleeding started? Did urgency match pain days? Did pee burning happen too? Did symptoms continue after the period? Did sex, exercise, stress, or sleep seem linked? Did a urine test happen? What changed daily life most?

Do not use the pattern to self diagnose. Use it to ask what should be checked.

Bladder detail

Use this if the daily row is not enough.

Date Pain place Pain timing Better after peeing Worse with full bladder Woke up to pee Notes lower belly / pelvis / urethra / not sure before pee / during pee / after pee / all day no / yes / not sure no / yes / not sure no / yes

Questions to ask

Could this be a UTI or another bladder issue? Do I need a urine test? Does the cycle timing matter here? Could pelvic floor, endometriosis, fibroids, pregnancy, or another cause fit? What symptoms mean I should call right away? What should I track before the next visit? Should I see primary care, gynecology, urology, or urgent care?

If urgency is the main symptom, use the urinary urgency cycle log. If symptoms happen with bleeding, use the UTI during period symptom log. If bowel symptoms are part of the pattern, use the endometriosis bowel and bladder symptom log or the fibroid pressure bladder and bowel log.
