Period Leak at School Plan

A plain school plan for a period leak, with bathroom steps, spare clothes, product backup, stain notes, trusted adult prompts, and private notes.

A leak at school can feel big.

You still get to take care of your body.

Use this plan to make the next step clear.

It is not medical advice.

It is not school policy advice.

Fast leak steps

Use this when a leak happens.

Step What I can do Get to a bathroom Change my product Check clothes Use spare clothes Put stained clothes in a bag Ask for help Write one private note

Short words are enough.

text I need the bathroom.

I need my bag.

I had a leak and need help.

Bathroom route

Pick a route you can use.

Place My note Closest bathroom Nurse office Locker Backpack spot Place to change Place to throw away products Person to ask if a door is locked

This does not ask the school to change rules.

It helps you know what to ask.

Backpack and locker backup

Pack what fits your school day.

Item Backpack Locker Nurse office Notes Pad Tampon Period underwear Cup or disc case Spare underwear Spare pants, shorts, or leggings Plain bag for stained clothes Wipes or tissue, if allowed Small note card

Use the period kit for school checklist for a full supply list.

For a dance or event day, use the period at school dance checklist.

Spare clothes plan

Spare clothes should feel easy to wear.

Question Your answer What spare bottom works for school? Where will it stay? Does it fit now? yes / no / not sure Does it follow school dress rules? yes / no / not sure What plain bag can hold stained clothes? Who can wash or replace it?

Choose clothes that feel okay to you.

You do not have to explain the full reason.

Stain care note

Do this only if you can.

ACI says fresh blood stains should soak in cold water. Hot water can set blood stains.

For dried blood, ACI says to pretreat or soak with a product that has enzymes.

This does not promise a stain will come out.

Stain question Your note Is the stain fresh or dried? fresh / dried / not sure Can I rinse with cold water now? yes / no Can I keep the item damp until home? yes / no / not sure Does the care tag have rules? yes / no / not sure Who can help at home?

For more detail, use the period blood stain removal checklist and the period leak cleanup plan.

If leaks keep happening

One leak can happen.

Repeated soak through days may be worth writing down.

CDC says heavy bleeding can include soaking through one or more pads or tampons every hour for several hours.

CDC also says heavy bleeding is a reason to talk with a healthcare provider.

Date Product used Time between changes Clothes leak School impact yes / no

Use the work and school impact log if leaks, pain, or bathroom issues affect class.

Trusted adult card

Pick one person if you can.

Person How they can help What I want private Nurse supplies / clothes / call home Teacher bathroom / locker / missed work Office adult phone / nurse / pickup Parent or caregiver clothes / restock / care visit

Keep the ask small.

text I need my spare clothes.

I need to call home.

I need help with a bathroom issue.

Private note

Write only what helps.

Note Your answer Date Time Class or place, if needed Product change issue Bathroom issue Clothes issue Person who helped What I want to change next time
