Menstrual Migraine Cycle Log
A simple cycle log for migraine timing, period days, pain, aura signs, nausea, light or sound sensitivity, and visit questions.
Migraine and period days can overlap.
This log helps you write down the timing.
It does not tell you the cause.
It does not say you have menstrual migraine.
Contact a clinician for new or worrying symptoms.
Call if symptoms are severe, sudden, or changed.
Seek urgent care for a thunderclap headache.
Seek urgent care for fever or stiff neck.
Seek urgent care for confusion, seizures, or double vision.
Seek urgent care for numbness or weakness.
Seek urgent care after a head injury.
Seek urgent care for a headache that feels very different.
Fast safety check
Get medical help right away if any of these are happening now.
Head pain came on all at once. This is the worst headache I have had. I have fever or stiff neck. I feel confused. I had a seizure. I have double vision. I have numbness or weakness. This started after a head injury. This headache feels new or very different. I feel unsafe waiting.
Do not use this log to decide if care can wait.
Three month cycle log
Use one row for each migraine day. Add period days too.
Date Cycle day Period day Migraine start time Pain 0 to 10 How long Main symptoms : : none, spotting, flow nausea, vomit, light, sound
Write none on days without migraine if you can.
Aura and warning signs
Mark what happened before or during the migraine.
Flashing lights. Blind spots. Blurry vision. Tingling. Numbness. Trouble speaking. Neck stiffness. Food craving. Mood change. More yawning. More peeing. No warning signs.
Tell a clinician if aura signs are new, changed, or scary.

Questions to ask
Could my migraine timing link to my period? What else could explain this pattern? What symptoms mean I should seek urgent care? What should I track next month? Should I keep a headache and period diary longer? Should I see a headache clinician, gynecologist, or both? Do my aura notes change what options are safe for me? How should I share what I took and what happened?
Short visit script

"The attacks happened on these cycle days: ."

Start with new, severe, sudden, changed, or worrying symptoms.
