Questions for the clinic

Pick the questions that fit.

Where can I see the full report? Can you explain the result in plain words? Which exact line should I copy for my record? Does the report include breast density wording? Who can answer questions about the report? Should I bring older mammogram reports? Do you need my prior imaging center name? Can I get a copy of the images? Can I get a copy of the report? Can I ask for a correction if a detail is wrong?

ACR says mammogram result summaries should use plain language. Ask your clinician or imaging center to explain any words that are unclear.

Breast density note

NCI says dense breasts are a common mammogram finding.

Portal and record check

HHS says many people have rights to see and get copies of medical records from covered providers and health plans.

Ask:

Is the full mammogram report in the portal? Is the result letter different from the full report? Can I download the report? Can I download image files? Who can see this portal result? Does proxy access affect this result? Will a screenshot back up to cloud storage?
