Hungry Before Period Log
A hungry before period log for hunger level, appetite, cravings, meal timing, nausea, sleep, stress, mood, cycle day, period timing, and care questions.
Feeling hungry before a period can be hard to explain later.
This log gives you a simple way to track timing.
It does not give food rules.
It does not tell you what care to choose.
Use it for one cycle.
Bring it to a visit if the pattern worries you.
First hunger note
Fill this in when hunger feels different.
Question Your note Date hunger changed Cycle day, if known Days until period, if known Hunger level low / usual / high / up and down Appetite low / usual / high / up and down Cravings no / yes Long gap between meals no / yes Nausea no / yes Sleep last night okay / poor / too much Stress today low / medium / high Mood today steady / sad / tense / angry / up and down Main care question

"Hungry again before bed" is useful.

It is not a meal plan.
Meal timing prompts
Use these prompts only for context.
I ate at my usual times. I had a long gap between meals. I skipped a meal. I felt hungry soon after eating. Hunger was strongest in the morning. Hunger was strongest in the afternoon. Hunger was strongest at night. Nausea changed what sounded okay. Poor sleep happened too. Stress felt high. Mood changed too. Cramps, bloating, headache, or acne happened too.
Do not use this list to rank food or blame yourself.
The point is timing.
Hunger and craving split
At times, hunger and cravings feel different.
Use this table if that helps.
Time Hunger level Craving present Nausea present Mood note What changed my day? Morning low / usual / high / up and down no / yes no / yes Afternoon low / usual / high / up and down no / yes no / yes Evening low / usual / high / up and down no / yes no / yes Night low / usual / high / up and down no / yes no / yes
Leave any row blank.
You do not need to count, measure, or judge food.
Pattern review
Use this after one cycle.
Question Your note How many days before bleeding did hunger change? Did hunger change when bleeding started? Did appetite feel higher, lower, or mixed? Did cravings happen too? Did nausea happen too? Did sleep change too? Did stress or mood change too? Did this happen outside period timing? What changed daily life most? What is the main question for care?
Mayo Clinic says PMS symptoms can repeat in a pattern.
Cleveland Clinic says PMS symptoms can return around the same time each cycle.
Your log can show timing. It cannot diagnose PMS.
Questions to ask a clinician
Pick the questions that fit.
Could this timing fit PMS? What other causes should we think about? Should I track nausea, sleep, stress, or mood too? How many cycles should I track? What symptoms mean I should call sooner? Could medicine or another health issue matter? What details should I bring next time?
Ask about care if hunger changes feel new or strong.
Ask if other symptoms worry you.
One page summary
Fill this in before a visit or message.

Keep it short.
A clear summary is better than a full diary.
Privacy note
Hunger notes can include period dates, food context, mood, stress, and health details.
Keep only what helps you.
Floriva can keep short notes on your device.
Paper works too.
Floriva does not cover screenshots, exports, backups, printouts, or a shared phone. Share a short summary if that feels better.
For craving notes, use the period cravings tracker. For nausea, use the nausea before period tracker.
