Special Event Period Data Privacy Checklist

A plain privacy checklist for period clues around events. Check calendars, chats, photos, maps, backups, exports, and shared devices.

Special events make extra copies.

A calendar can show the date.

A ticket can show the place.

A photo can show the outfit.

A chat can show who knew.

This checklist helps you keep less.

It cannot promise privacy.

It is not legal advice.

1. Name the event clues

Write down where event details live.

Clue Where it lives Needs a change? Period dates yes / no / not sure Symptom notes yes / no / not sure Outfit photos yes / no / not sure Tickets yes / no / not sure Calendar yes / no / not sure Group chats yes / no / not sure Location history yes / no / not sure App exports yes / no / not sure Cloud backups yes / no / not sure Shared devices yes / no / not sure

You do not need to fix every row.

Start with the place that feels most exposed.

2. Shorten period notes

Keep notes useful.

Use fewer details when fewer details work.

Instead of Try "Period starts on wedding day" "Pack pouch for event" "Cramps before school dance" "Need rest break" "Heavy flow at beach day" "Bring extra supplies" "Period due during camp" "Check kit before camp" "Symptoms before date night" "Plan a quiet exit"

If you need care notes later, keep them.

Short does not mean useless.

3. Check calendars and tickets

Calendars and tickets can sync to many places.

They may show on lock screens, car screens, watches, or shared calendars.

Check:

Event title. Reminder text. Ticket app. Wallet pass. Shared calendar. Work or school calendar. Car screen. Smart watch.

Lower detail calendar words:

Bag check. Supply stop. Rest time. Change break. Call ride.

Pick words that still help you.

4. Check photos and outfit posts

Outfit photos can carry time, place, people, and body clues.

Check:

Outfit photos. Mirror photos. Product photos. Screenshots of period apps. Shared albums. Photo location tags. Social tags. Recently deleted folders.

You can ask people to check before posting.

You can ask them not to tag your location.

You can skip full body photos if you want.

5. Check group chats

Group chats can move faster than planned.

Screenshots can leave the group.

Instead of Try "My period starts that day" "I need a bag check" "I leaked at the festival" "I need clothing help" "My cramps are bad" "I need a break" "Can you bring pads?" "Can you bring my pouch?" "I need a tampon at the water park" "Can you meet me by the restroom?"

Share more only if you choose.

A trusted friend may need more detail.

A big group may not.

6. Check maps and location

Maps can show where you went.

That can matter beside period notes.

Check:

Map timeline. Ride share history. Shared location. Find my device sharing. Parking apps. Event apps. Photo places. Browser searches.

Turn off sharing only if it is safe for you.

Some people need location sharing for safety.

For trips, use the travel period data privacy checklist.

7. Check exports and backups

An export can outlive the app.

A backup can copy data without a clear alert.

Place What to look for Downloads PDFs, CSVs, screenshots, app exports Files app Saved notes and forms Email Drafts, sent notes, attachments Messages Copied notes and screenshots Cloud drive Old exports and shared files Photo backup Screenshots and outfit photos Computer backup Old phone copies Printer queue Printed plans or logs

Do not delete records you must keep for care, school, work, or money.

Use the period tracker data minimization guide for a broader cleanup plan.

8. Check shared devices

A shared device can show small clues.

Look at:

Shared phone. Family tablet. Work laptop. School device. Car screen. Smart watch. Shared Apple ID or Google account. Browser history. Notification previews.

Do not store event period details on work or school systems unless you choose to.

For teen settings, read the teen period app privacy checklist.

9. Plan by event type

Use the same idea for many events.

Keep the smallest useful record.

Event Check first Wedding Outfit backup, photos, calendar, ride School dance Bathroom, group chat, trusted adult, ride Date Calendar words, location sharing, exit plan Beach Supplies, photos, shared bags, ride Camp Packing list, shared cabin, backups Festival Tickets, location, group chat, rest plan Water park Bag plan, restroom plan, photos

For event packing, use the period at school dance checklist, period on wedding day plan, period on date night notes, period at music festival notes, period at beach checklist, period at water park notes, or period at camp checklist.

Floriva note

Floriva can keep period notes local on your device.

That can help when you want a small event note.

No app controls every copy.

Screenshots and exports can leave the app.

So can backups, shared devices, shared calendars, shared photos, and copied text.

Keep less when less is enough.
