Telehealth Period Visit Script
A plain script for period-related telehealth visits, with prep notes, privacy questions, symptom tables, and next-step prompts.
A video visit can move fast.
Use this page to say the main point first.
This is visit prep. It is not medical advice. It is not legal advice.
For a fuller note, use the doctor appointment notes template or the personal cycle health record template.

If pain location matters, use the period pain location visit summary.
If you need a day by day pain log, use the period pain diary template.
If the visit is about cramps
Mayo Clinic says to see a health care professional if cramps disrupt your life every month, get worse, or severe cramps start after age 25.
Use this wording if it fits.
This script does not tell you what care you need.
If the visit is about bleeding
Use a short bleeding note.

Privacy questions
Telehealth.HHS.gov tells patients to learn what information providers can share, what they cannot share, and how personal health information is kept safe during telehealth.
Ask what matters to you.
What will go in my chart? What will show in the portal? Who can see messages or visit notes? Should I upload a file or read a summary? Do you need my full app export? Can I send a shorter note? How can I correct a note if something is wrong?
For more, read telehealth period tracking data risks and period tracking data for doctor appointments.
Screen and portal checklist
Telehealth.HHS.gov says patient portals may help protect health information. It also says not to record a telehealth visit without asking the provider first.
Before the visit, check:
Item Done I know the visit link or phone number. I know what device I will use. I have a quiet place if I can get one. I closed private tabs or photos. I have my short note ready. I know whether I plan to upload anything. I will ask before recording.
Upload choice
You can start small.
Choice What it includes What it leaves out Read script aloud Main concern and question Full history One page note Dates, symptoms, impact Private diary details Screenshot A small view from an app Extra tabs, alerts, names Full export More cycle data Less control over extra details
Ask what the clinic needs.
Do not send more because you feel rushed.

Use this before the visit ends.
After the visit
Write this down.
Question Your note What did we decide? What should I track? What should make me call sooner? What message or file did I send? What record do I want to keep?
