Period App Deletion Follow-Up Email Templates
Copy-and-edit email templates for requesting export, deletion, follow-up, clearer replies, and a written deletion receipt from a period app.
Use these templates when you leave a period app.
They are plain on purpose. You want the company to know who you are, what you want, and what proof you need.
Check the app's current privacy policy first. Send the request through the path the policy names.
Before you send
Fill this out once.
Field Your notes App name Company name Account email Username Phone number Privacy contact Policy URL Request date
Do not send extra ID at first unless the policy asks for it. If the company needs more proof, ask why.
1. Export request
Use this before deletion if you want your old logs.
text Subject: Request for a copy of my period app data
Hello,
I am asking for a copy of the personal data tied to my account.
App: app name Account email: your email Username, if any: your username Phone number, if any: your phone
Please send a copy of my account data, cycle data, symptom logs, notes, device data, and any other personal data tied to this account.
Please send it in a format I can save and open.
Thank you, your name
Save the export before you request deletion.
2. First deletion request
Use this after you have saved your export, or when you do not need an export.
text Subject: Data deletion request
Hello,
I am asking you to delete the personal data tied to my account.
App: app name Account email: your email Username, if any: your username Phone number, if any: your phone
Please delete my account data, cycle data, symptom logs, notes, device data, analytics data, and data held by service providers when your policy and the law allow it.
If you must keep any data, please tell me:
1. What data you are keeping. 2. Why you are keeping it. 3. How long you will keep it. 4. Whether it remains in backups or vendor systems.
Please confirm when deletion is complete.
Thank you, your name
3. No reply follow up
Send this if you get no reply after a week.
text Subject: Follow up on data deletion request
Hello,
I sent a data deletion request on date .
I am following up because I have not received a reply.
Account email: your email App: app name
Please confirm that you received the request. Please also tell me the expected response date.
Thank you, your name
If you live in California, mark 45 calendar days from the request date. California's CCPA page uses that response window for deletion requests.
If GDPR applies to you, mark one month from the request date unless the company gives a valid reason for more time.
4. Partial reply follow up
Use this when the company says "done" but gives no detail.
text Subject: Please clarify deletion confirmation
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
Can you confirm whether the deletion included:
1. Account profile data. 2. Period and cycle data. 3. Symptom logs. 4. Notes or journal text. 5. Device IDs. 6. Analytics data. 7. Data held by service providers when deletion is allowed. 8. Backup copies, or the expected backup deletion date.
If any data was kept, please tell me the data type, reason, and retention period.
Thank you, your name
5. Verification reply
Use this if the company asks for more proof.
text Subject: Verification question for my privacy request
Hello,
I can help verify my account.
Before I send more information, please tell me what specific information you need and why it is needed for verification.
Please use any verification data only for this privacy request.
Account email: your email App: app name
Thank you, your name
Send only what is needed. Keep the reply.
6. Confirmation receipt request
Use this when deletion is done but you want a clean record.
text Subject: Request for deletion receipt
Hello,
Thank you for processing my deletion request.
Please send a written receipt that confirms:
1. The date my request was received. 2. The date deletion was completed. 3. The account identifiers deleted. 4. The data types deleted. 5. Any data kept and the reason it was kept. 6. Any backup or vendor deletion timeline that still applies.
Thank you, your name
7. Flo specific note
For Flo, check Flo's current privacy policy and privacy portal first. Flo lists current rights for access, export, deletion, correction, and portability.
Do not copy old in app tap steps unless Flo still shows them. Menus can change.
You can use the same templates, but name Flo and your Flo account email. Keep the FTC history in mind as context, not as proof about Flo's current behavior.
8. Save your proof
Use this folder list.
First request. Export request. Export file. Auto reply. Human reply. Verification request. Deletion confirmation. Receipt request. Final receipt.
Name files with dates.
9. After the emails
Finish the cleanup on your phone.
Cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google if needed. Remove app permissions. Check Apple Health or Health Connect if you synced health data. Delete old exports from shared folders if you do not need them. Remove saved passwords you no longer use.
Then choose your next setup with care. Floriva may fit if you want less cloud storage. Still check export, deletion, and the privacy policy before you add health data.
