Ovarian Cyst Period Change Tracker

A plain tracker for period timing, bleeding changes, pelvic pain, pressure, and visit questions when ovarian cyst symptoms and cycle changes happen near each other.

Ovarian cyst symptoms and period changes can be hard to sort out.

A cyst may be found near the same time your bleeding changes. That does not prove the cyst caused the change. This tracker helps you show the pattern.

Use paper, notes, a spreadsheet, or Floriva. This page is for visit prep. It is not medical advice.

Seek urgent or emergency care for sudden severe pelvic or belly pain, pain with fever or vomiting, faintness, weakness, rapid breathing, or pain that feels unsafe to wait on. If pregnancy is possible, tell the care team early.

Fast safety check

Do not wait to finish a tracker if symptoms feel urgent.

Pain is sudden or severe. Pain is on one side and feels unsafe. I have fever or vomiting. I feel faint, weak, or very dizzy. I am breathing fast. Pregnancy is possible, and I need to tell the care team. I feel unsafe waiting.

Cycle summary

Fill this in before your visit.

Question Your notes Last normal period start date Current period start date Current period end date Was this cycle early, late, or usual? Was flow lighter, heavier, or usual? Was there spotting? Was there bleeding between periods? Worst pain date Pain side or location Main worry for the visit

Daily period and symptom log

Use one row per day. Plain words are enough.

Date Cycle day Bleeding Flow Pain 0 to 10 Pain location Other symptoms Notes : : none, spotting, period, between periods none, light, medium, heavy, very heavy left, right, middle, back bloating, pressure, nausea, dizzy

Do not force a pattern. Write what happened.

Bleeding change notes

Use this if bleeding changed from your usual.

Change Yes, no, or notes Period came earlier than usual Period came later than usual Period lasted longer than usual Period was lighter than usual Period was heavier than usual Spotting happened before the period Spotting happened after the period Bleeding happened between periods Bleeding happened after sex Clots or flooding happened

This table does not tell you the cause. It helps your clinician decide what to ask next.

Pain and pressure notes

Ovarian cyst symptoms can overlap with other pelvic pain. Track enough to show the pattern.

Date and time Pain or pressure Side What was happening What helped none, mild, medium, strong left, right, middle, unsure period, ovulation, sex, bowel movement, rest, exercise

If pain feels severe or sudden, seek care first. Clean notes can wait.

What changed this cycle

Mark what fits.

Pain started on one side. Pain moved or spread. Bloating or fullness changed. Pressure changed. Nausea or vomiting happened. Bleeding changed from usual. Spotting happened. I missed work, school, sleep, care tasks, or plans. I used pain medicine. I had imaging or a cyst was found.

Add anything else in your own words.

Questions to ask

Bring the questions that fit.

Could this cyst explain any of my symptoms? What else could explain the bleeding change? What symptoms should make me call sooner? Do I need a pregnancy test today? Do I need blood work? Do I need an ultrasound? If I had an ultrasound, what did it show? What type of cyst was seen, if known? Do we need follow up imaging? What should I track before follow up?

Use the ovarian cyst ultrasound question list if imaging is the main topic.

Short visit script

Use this if the visit feels rushed.

"My cycle changed on . I noticed . The worst pain was out of 10. It was on the side. Bleeding was . I want to know what we should check next."

If pain is your main concern, use the ovarian cyst pain log. If symptoms feel urgent, use the ovarian cyst rupture urgent care notes.

Privacy note

Cycle notes can include bleeding, sex, pregnancy concern, pain, and location clues.

Floriva can help you keep short notes on your device. Paper works too. Bring the smallest record that helps your care.

Read the ovarian cyst data privacy checklist before sharing a full export. Use the abnormal bleeding diary if bleeding is the main issue.
