Use this before or after imaging. It does not read your scan or diagnose fibroids.

Were fibroids seen? How many, and what size and location? Did the report use submucosal, intramural, or subserosal? Ask your clinician to point to the location in plain words. Does any fibroid affect the uterine cavity? Could that relate to my bleeding or pressure? What did this ultrasound answer, and what did it not answer? Could polyps, adenomyosis, or endometriosis still need discussion? Would MRI or hysteroscopy add useful detail?

Watchful waiting questions

Why might monitoring fit or not fit my symptoms? What symptoms would change the plan? How often should we check in?

Medicine and procedure questions

Is medicine for bleeding, pain, pressure, or another goal? What type of procedure is this, and which fibroids would it target? What are the risks, recovery symptoms, and follow up needs? Could it affect fertility or pregnancy goals now or later?

Surgery questions

What surgery are we discussing, and what would be removed or changed? What are the main risks, limits, and recovery time? Are there less invasive options for my case? Should I get a second opinion?

Fertility and anemia questions

How could each option affect pregnancy now or later? Should I ask about a uterus sparing option? Do I need a complete blood count, or iron or ferritin checked?

Insurance, cost, and referral questions

Do I need a referral or prior authorization? What costs should I ask about before scheduling?
