What is the exact result? Can you say it in plain words? Which part of the report matters most? Is any result still pending? Who wrote the lab report? Can I get a copy of the full report? Which record should I keep for my next question? What will show in the portal? Who should I call with questions? Should I bring this report to another clinician? Can I ask to fix a wrong detail?

They can include imaging, lab, and insurance details.

Before saving or sharing, ask:

Do I need the full report here? Is a short note enough? Does this include portal screenshots? Does this include insurance details? Does this include another person's name? Will this be backed up to cloud storage? Who can open this portal account?

HHS says HIPAA gives people record rights.
