Campus Period Data Privacy Checklist

A campus privacy checklist for period notes, refill labels, shared phones, shared accounts, dorm screens, calendar alerts, photos, receipts, exports, and backups.

A campus routine can make many copies of one private note.

A refill alert may show on a laptop.

A photo may save a place.

A receipt may name a store.

A group chat may keep old plans.

This checklist helps you find those copies.

It does not promise privacy.

It is not legal advice.

For refill planning, use the campus period product refill plan.

1. List where campus notes live

Start with the places you use now.

You do not have to fix every row.

Place What may be there Change needed? Period app Cycle notes, symptoms, products yes / no / not sure Calendar Refill alerts, class plans yes / no / not sure Photos Product photos, screenshots yes / no / not sure Receipts Store, delivery, pharmacy notes yes / no / not sure Messages Roommate texts, group plans yes / no / not sure Cloud drive PDFs, exports, notes yes / no / not sure Shared phone App notes, searches, alerts yes / no / not sure Shared account Calendar, photos, files yes / no / not sure School device Browser history, downloads yes / no / not sure Dorm screen Cast alerts, calendar alerts yes / no / not sure

Start with the rows that feel most exposed.

For shared phone checks, use period tracking on a shared phone.

2. Shorten labels

Low detail labels can still help you act.

They just say less.

Instead of Try Period starts Bag check Tampon refill Supply stop Heavy flow class day Extra kit Period laundry Laundry check Cramps before exam Slow morning Buy pads near dorm Store stop

Use the words you need.

Cut the words you do not need.

For a broader cleanup plan, use the period tracker data minimization guide.

3. Audit shared accounts

Shared accounts can copy data quietly.

Check before you save private notes there.

Account or device What to check Your note Apple ID or family account Photos, calendars, backups Google account Calendar, Drive, Photos Shared tablet App data, searches, alerts Shared laptop Downloads, browser history Smart watch Alerts, app previews Car or dorm screen Calendar and message alerts

If you share an Apple ID, use the shared Apple ID period privacy checklist.

Store only the detail the account needs.

4. Check photos and receipts

Photos and receipts can link time, place, and products.

They may also sync to shared albums or cloud backups.

Check:

Product photos. Screenshots of app notes. Photos of leaks or laundry. Store receipts. Delivery receipts. Email receipts. Shared albums. Trash or recently deleted folders. Cloud photo backup.

You may need some records.

Keep records you still need for money, school, care, or work.

5. Check exports and backups

An export can outlive the app.

A backup can copy notes without a new alert.

Place What to look for Downloads PDFs, CSVs, screenshots, app files Files app Saved logs and notes Email Sent notes, drafts, attachments Messages Screenshots and copied notes Cloud drive Synced files and old exports Photo backup Screenshots and product photos Computer backup Old phone copies Printer queue Printed logs or PDFs

Health app privacy guidance favors limited data and clear privacy language.

You can use the same idea for your own notes.

Keep less when less is enough.

6. Audit refill and kit notes

Period supply plans can leak detail too.

Use plain names when plain names work.

Note Low detail version Where it appears Period refill plan Weekly supplies Dorm period kit Dorm drawer Shared bathroom pads Bathroom pouch Emergency tampon bag Backup pouch Period underwear laundry Laundry shelf

For physical kit help, use the period emergency kit checklist.

For class bags, use the period kit for school checklist.

For dorm and shared bathroom planning, use the dorm period kit checklist and shared bathroom period plan.

7. Check messages and group plans

Group plans may keep more than you meant to share.

Look at:

Roommate texts. Group chats. Shared errands lists. Shared calendars. Ride plans. Delivery notes. Screenshots sent to friends.

You can use a short line.

Or:

Pick words that feel right for you.

8. Keep bathroom notes plain

Shared bathrooms can make small details visible.

So can labels on bins, hooks, and laundry bags.

Item Plain label idea Bathroom period pouch Bathroom pouch Pad refill bin Supply bin Leak laundry bag Laundry bag Cup wash note Wash note Product that caused irritation Skip next time

Public handwashing guidance says clean hands can help lower germ spread.

Hand sanitizer can lower germs in many cases.

It does not remove all types of germs.

Use the hygiene steps that fit your setting.

9. Check what the app can and cannot control

HHS says health apps may follow different rules.

That can depend on what the app does and who offers it.

This page does not decide legal coverage.

It cannot promise legal safety.

Ask these questions instead:

Question Your answer Does this app need this detail? Can I use a shorter note? Can I turn off lock screen previews? Can I avoid shared accounts? Can I delete an old export I do not need? Can I keep care notes separate from class plans?

For younger users, Floriva for teens covers lighter setup choices.

Floriva note

Floriva can keep period notes local on your device.

That can help when you do not want cloud sync by default.

No app controls every copy.

Screenshots, exports, backups, shared devices, shared accounts, and copied notes can leave the app.

Keep notes short when short notes are enough.
