Light Period Tracker
A plain tracker for a light period, shorter flow, spotting before flow, cycle day, product use, symptoms, and visit notes.
Use this tracker when your period is much lighter than usual.
It can help if you are not sure what to call it.
Light flow, spotting, and a one day bleed can feel alike.
This page helps you write down what happened.
It cannot tell the cause.
It cannot say if you are pregnant.
It cannot say what care you need.
If pain is severe, bleeding is heavy, or you feel faint, you can ask for care before finishing the tracker.

Plain notes are enough.
"Brown marks for two days" is useful.
"Light red flow, no build" is useful too.
Daily light period log
Use one row per day.
Date Cycle day Bleeding label Color Product use Did it build? Pain 0 to 10 Other symptoms Notes : : spotting / light period / period / not sure pink / red / brown / rust / mixed none / liner / pad / tampon / cup no / yes / not sure
Mayo Clinic says cycles and flow can vary.
That does not name the cause for you.
The log helps you show what changed.
Spotting or period
Use these notes if the label is unclear.
Sign What you saw Bleeding stayed very light Bleeding built over hours You needed period products You only saw marks when wiping Bleeding lasted one day Bleeding lasted two or more days Flow stopped, then came back
Spotting is usually too light for a pad or tampon.
A period often builds, then fades.
For more detail, read spotting vs period.
If bleeding starts and stops, use the period starts and stops log.
If it lasted only one day, use one day period notes.
Pattern checklist
Check what fits.
This period was lighter than usual. Bleeding lasted fewer days than usual. Bleeding stayed at spotting level. Bleeding started as spotting before flow. Flow stopped, then came back. Pain was new or worse. I had other symptoms I want to ask about. I changed birth control or hormone medicine. I missed pills or changed timing. I had sex since my last period. I took a pregnancy test. I feel worried by this change.
This checklist is for notes only.
It does not diagnose the cause.
ACOG says changes in amount, timing, or length can matter.
If the change worries you, you can ask a clinician to review it.
Visit prep
Pick the questions you want to ask.
Does this count as a period or spotting? Should I use this as day 1? What symptoms should I track next cycle? Could birth control timing matter here? What changes mean I should ask for care sooner? Should pregnancy testing be part of this question? Should I bring one cycle or more than one cycle? Would a short export help?
For birth control changes, read birth control period changes.
For pregnancy timing questions, read late period vs pregnancy symptoms.
One page summary
Fill this in before a visit or message.
Summary item Your note Bleeding started Last full period started Flow was lighter by days / product use / color / amount / not sure Heaviest day Products used Pain score Other symptoms Birth control or medicine change Pregnancy test date and result, if relevant Main care question
Share only what fits the visit.
A short summary may be enough.
Use the abnormal bleeding diary if you also have heavy bleeding, bleeding between periods, or bleeding after sex.
Privacy note
Light period notes can include sex, birth control, pregnancy tests, and care plans.
Keep the smallest useful record.
Floriva can keep short notes on your device.
Paper works too.
