Brain Fog Before Period Tracker
A brain fog before period tracker for cycle timing, focus notes, daily impact, PMS context, visit questions, and private sharing.
Brain fog before a period can be hard to pin down.
Use this tracker to catch what happened. Write the date, cycle day, focus level, and what felt harder than usual. Do not use it to name the cause.
If the brain fog is new, severe, or feels very different for you, you can discuss it with a clinician.
Start note
Fill this out when brain fog starts.
Question Your answer Date brain fog started Cycle day, if known Days before period, if known Next period due, if known Focus level okay / slow / very foggy Sleep last night good / broken / short / unsure Main focus problem Main memory slip Main body symptom Main mood symptom What changed today? work / school / care tasks / plans / focus / none Main care question
Short notes count. "Lost words in a meeting" is enough.
Daily brain fog log
Use one row per day until bleeding starts.
0 = none. 1 = mild. 2 = changed my day. 3 = hard to manage.
Date Cycle day Days before period Fog 0 to 3 Focus Memory Words Sleep Mood Body symptoms Daily impact : : : okay / slow / scattered okay / forgetful okay / hard good / broken / short steady / low / anxious / irritable cramps / headache / bloating / breast soreness / none
ACOG says PMS may include problems concentrating. The Office on Women's Health says PMDD can include trouble thinking or focusing. These notes show timing. They do not prove why brain fog happened.
What felt harder?
Check what fit that day.
I reread the same thing many times. I lost my place in a task. I forgot why I opened an app. I missed a step in a chore. I lost words while talking. I felt slower at work or school. I needed more reminders than usual. I mixed up dates or times. I avoided a task because it felt too hard. I changed plans because I felt foggy. This happened before another period too. This felt different from my usual pattern.
Do not force a label. A plain list can help more than a guess.
Pattern check
Use this after bleeding starts or after the fog eases.
Question Your note How many days before bleeding did fog start? Did fog ease, stay, or rise when bleeding began? What day was hardest? Did sleep change first? Did mood symptoms happen too? Did cramps, headache, or bloating happen too? What task was most affected? What felt new or different? What is the main care question?
If tiredness is part of the same week, use the fatigue before period tracker. For more cycle context, read signs your period is coming and luteal phase symptoms.
Visit questions
Pick the questions that fit.
Could this timing fit a premenstrual pattern? What details should I track next cycle? What symptoms mean I should call sooner? Should I track focus, mood, and body symptoms together? Would a one page summary be enough for this visit? What should I write down if this happens again? Could these notes help compare cycles? What should I keep private in my own copy?

One page summary
Use this before a visit or message.
Summary item Your note Date range tracked Brain fog started Days before period Worst fog score Main focus issue Main memory issue Sleep pattern Mood symptoms Body symptoms Period start date, if it started What changed my day Main question
You can copy only this summary. You can export only this summary. You can keep the daily notes for yourself.
Privacy note
Brain fog notes can include period dates, mood, and sleep. They may also name work, school, care tasks, and private health details.
Keep only what helps. Share only what you choose. A short summary may be enough for a portal message or visit.
Floriva is built for private cycle notes. Use the app only if it fits how you want to track and share. For privacy choices around PMS body data, read the PMS body data privacy checklist.
