BBT Disruption Log

A worksheet for marking BBT readings affected by poor sleep, late wake time, illness, alcohol, travel, fever, or thermometer changes.

A BBT chart can look strange for simple reasons. You may wake late. You may sleep badly. You may be sick. You may travel.

Use this log to mark those days. The goal is not to fix the number. The goal is to remember what happened.

This page teaches tracking basics. It does not diagnose ovulation, pregnancy, fever, or illness.

Daily disruption log

Use one row per reading.

Date Cycle day Temp Wake time Usual wake time Disruption type How strong was it? Keep in chart? Notes : : poor sleep, late wake, illness, alcohol, travel, fever, thermometer mild, clear, strong yes, mark it

Disruption codes

Use short codes if you track on paper.

Code Meaning What to write PS Poor sleep Woke often, slept less, or felt unrested. LW Late wake Took temp much later than usual. EW Early wake Took temp much earlier than usual. I Illness Felt sick, even without fever. F Fever Had a fever or felt feverish. A Alcohol Drank alcohol the night before. T Travel Travel, jet lag, or a new sleep place. TH Thermometer New thermometer or new temp method.

What not to do

Do not erase a reading just because it looks odd.

Do not decide ovulation from one high point.

Do not decide a low point means anything by itself.

Do not compare your exact numbers to someone else. Your pattern matters more.

End of cycle review

At the end of the cycle, answer these questions.

Question Your notes How many readings did you mark? What was the most common disruption? Were any high points tied to fever, alcohol, or late wake time? Were any low points tied to early wake time or poor sleep? Did you change thermometers or methods? What will you do next cycle to make readings cleaner?

Use it with your BBT chart

Pair this worksheet with the printable one cycle BBT chart.

Put the disruption code in the notes column.

For app tracking, add the same note in Floriva.

The Floriva BBT guide explains where the reading fits.

The FAM setup guide shows how BBT can sit next to other signs.

If you are still learning, read how to track basal body temperature.

You can also read signs of ovulation.

If you may share records, read this guide.
