How to Switch from Femometer to Floriva

Step-by-step guide to export your data from Femometer and start tracking privately with Floriva.

Femometer is a BBT and fertility tracker that pairs with its own thermometer hardware. This guide covers how to save your charting data and switch to a tracker that keeps everything on your phone.

Before you switch

Femometer markets itself as a fertility tracking ecosystem. The app pairs with a Bluetooth BBT thermometer, syncs your temperature readings automatically, and charts your fertile windows. The convenience is real. The tradeoff is that your BBT data, cycle dates, and fertility charting all sync to Femometer's cloud servers.

If you bought the hardware for the app integration, switching means losing automatic Bluetooth sync. You can still use the Femometer thermometer as a standard BBT thermometer. It displays the reading on the device, but you enter temperatures into your new tracker by hand.

Femometer's cloud servers hold detailed fertility data. That data reveals when you menstruate, when you are trying to conceive, your ovulation patterns, and your sexual activity timing. That level of reproductive detail carries real risk on someone else's infrastructure.

Export your data from Femometer

Open the Femometer app and check the settings menu for a data export, backup, or download option.

If an export exists, use it and save the file. If not, you need to capture your data manually. Femometer's BBT charts contain the most valuable data:

  • Photograph each month's BBT chart from the app

  • Record your last 6-12 cycle start dates

  • Note your average cycle length and luteal phase length if tracked

  • Record any ovulation dates the app identified

BBT data is harder to transfer between apps than cycle dates. Screenshots of your charts preserve the visual pattern even if you cannot import the raw temperature readings.

Set up Floriva

Install Floriva from the current download option. No account is needed for core tracking.

During onboarding, enter your cycle start dates. Then enable BBT tracking in Floriva's settings. Configure it for your thermometer type and measurement time.

You will enter BBT readings manually going forward. This adds about 10 seconds to your morning routine compared to automatic sync, but core temperature records stay on your phone.

If you were using Femometer for fertility awareness charting, see our FAM setup guide to configure Floriva for that workflow.

Rebuild your cycle history

Our guide to rebuilding period history after switching apps covers the transfer process in detail.

For Femometer users, cycle start dates are the priority for prediction accuracy. Your BBT history is valuable for your own reference. Keep those screenshots. Floriva's prediction algorithm relies on cycle dates and duration, not historical temperature data. BBT patterns will re-establish within 1-2 charted cycles in the new app.

Delete your Femometer account

Check the app's settings for a Delete Account option. If available, use it before uninstalling.

If no in-app deletion exists, contact Femometer's support to request complete account deletion and data erasure. Specify that you want all data removed, including BBT readings, cycle data, and any derived fertility analysis.

Uninstalling the app does not remove your data from their servers. Account deletion is the separate, necessary step.

After requesting deletion, verify by attempting to log in after a few days. See our data deletion guide for the complete verification process.
