How to Switch from Cycles to Floriva
Step-by-step guide to export your data from Cycles and start tracking privately with Floriva.
Cycles by Perigee is a partner-sharing period tracker that syncs your cycle data to the cloud so partners can view it. This guide shows how to export your data and move to a tracker that keeps everything on your phone.
Before you switch
Cycles is designed around partner sharing, your cycle predictions, fertile windows, and period dates sync to the cloud so a partner can view them on their own device. That feature requires cloud storage by definition. Your data cannot sync between devices without a server in the middle.
This architecture means your reproductive health data lives on Perigee's servers. It is accessible to anyone you have added as a partner, subject to Perigee's privacy policy, and reachable by legal process. If you added a partner and later ended that relationship, your historical data may still be associated with their account depending on how Cycles handles disconnection.
For users who initially wanted the sharing feature but now prioritize privacy, the switch requires accepting that partner-visible cycle tracking and on-device-only storage are mutually exclusive. Floriva keeps data on your phone. If you want to share cycle information with a partner, you do that directly, not through a server.
Export your data from Cycles
Open Cycles and check the settings menu for any data export, backup, or download option. Export availability varies by app version and platform.
If an export function exists, use it and save the file. If not, open the calendar view and record:
Your last 6 cycle start dates
Cycle length pattern
Any symptom or mood data you want to preserve
Before deleting your account, also disconnect any partner accounts. This ensures the partner's app no longer pulls your data from the server.
Set up Floriva
Install Floriva from the current download option. No account or email is needed for core tracking. Setup takes a few minutes.
Enter your cycle start dates during onboarding. Floriva's prediction algorithm uses your historical cycle lengths to calculate future periods and fertile windows. The more dates you can enter from your Cycles history, the faster predictions stabilize.
Rebuild your cycle history
Our guide to rebuilding period history after switching apps covers the full process. For Cycles users specifically, your recent cycle start dates and average cycle length are the most important data points to bring over.
If you were relying on Cycles' fertile window predictions for family planning, give Floriva 2-3 recorded cycles to calibrate before depending on its predictions for that purpose.
Delete your Cycles account
Disconnect any partner accounts first. Then check the app's settings for Delete Account or a similar option.
If no in-app deletion exists, contact Perigee's support to request account deletion and complete data removal. Specify that you want all data purged, including any data that was shared with or cached by partner accounts.
Uninstalling the app alone does not remove your data from Perigee's servers. Account deletion is a separate step.
After requesting deletion, verify by attempting to log in after a few days. A successful deletion should return an authentication error. See our data deletion guide for more on verification.

Quick answers to the obvious questions.
How do I switch from Cycles to Floriva?
Record your recent cycle dates from Cycles, set up Floriva with that history, then delete your Cycles account to remove your data from their servers.
Can I export my data from Cycles?
Check Cycles' settings for an export option. If none exists, manually note your cycle start dates from the calendar view before switching.
Questions people ask before they switch.
Will I lose my cycle history when I switch?
Not if you record your cycle dates before deleting. Enter your last 3-6 cycle start dates into Floriva during setup for immediate prediction accuracy.
Is Cycles safe to keep using?
Cycles is cloud-based by design. Partner sharing requires server storage. Your cycle data lives on Perigee's servers and is shared with anyone you have connected as a partner. This means your reproductive health data exists on infrastructure you do not control.
