How to Switch from Natural Cycles to Floriva

Step-by-step guide to migrating from Natural Cycles to Floriva: what data to export, how to import cycle history, BBT setup, and the key contraceptive

What You're Actually Switching Natural Cycles and Floriva are different tools making different tradeoffs. Natural Cycles is an FDA cleared digital contraceptive. Its algorithm processes your BBT data using a large training dataset and outputs daily fertility status — red days (fertile) and green days (not fertile). That FDA clearance means the algorithm's contraceptive effectiveness has been reviewed against a clinical standard. Floriva is a local first charting app. It logs your BBT readings and displays the biphasic pattern. It does not output daily fertility status or provide contraceptive guidance. If you're switching from Natural Cycles, you are moving from an algorithm that interprets your chart to a tool that shows you your chart and expects you to understand what you're looking at. That distinction matters most if you're using FAM for contraception. If you're switching primarily for privacy reasons and you're comfortable with your own chart interpretation, the transition is straightforward.
