Short notes are enough.
"Heat at 7 p.m. Pain 6 to 4. Slept after." That is useful.
Evidence check
Use this list before you turn a memory into a claim.
I wrote the date. I wrote the period day, if I know it. I used one pain score scale. I noted where pain was. I wrote what I tried. I did not turn one good day into a rule. I did not write medicine instructions here. I added a question if medicine felt confusing. I marked whether work, school, sleep, or care tasks changed. I kept private details out if I do not need them.
What official sources say
MedlinePlus says period pain is often cramping pain in the lower belly. It may come with low back pain, nausea, diarrhea, or headaches.
MedlinePlus also names heat, exercise, hot baths, relaxation, and some pain relievers as things people may try.
FDA says pain medicines can help when used as directed. FDA also says they can harm people when misused.
ACOG calls painful periods dysmenorrhea. ACOG lists heat and other care options, but this worksheet does not rank them.
Office on Women's Health says painful periods are not normal. Bring notes to a clinician if pain is hard to explain.
